Do you have grass in your garden?

There is an increase in grass-less gardens as the cities become more built out (and up). Do you still have grass? And if so, how come?

While this might seem like a strange question... It was asked because there are many places in the city that simply don't have grass!

I have lots of grass in my garden. In fact the plants in my garden bed would like significantly less grass! Grass keeps competing with my vegetables, so it takes some work to keep the garden beds grass free!
Yes, we have lots of grass, but it can be hard to find. We rent, so I guess that's why we have it.
We have grass. Why? Because what English garden would be complete without a lawn....
When we lived in continental Europe, landlords welcomed us as the English have a reputation for creating and maintaining beautiful lawns in their gardens. We always left our gardens looking much better than when we moved in!
I think it's very sad when grass is removed from a garden, not just for the aesthetic but also because it aids water absorption in the city. Flood risk is greatly increased by taking up lawn and putting down paving. It also raises the temperature in cities and there are serious concerns now about this causing severe problems. Architects are trying to design buildings with green roofs and plants growing out of the walls, so having some grass in the garden seems an easy way to help as well!
Totally agree - I love natural grass. Even if it needs lots of mowing! The benefits (in my opinion at least) far outweigh the negatives.
I have grass in my garden. It's a big enough yard. Its pretty hard not having grass as they just pop out of the soil naturally. In the summer we were experiencing drought. The grass dried so much that I though it was the end of the lawn. The rains eventually came and the grass came back with a punch. So yes, our garden has grass.

There is indeed some grass in the garden, mainly to act as a refuge for small critters and to increase soil structure.
My garden has plenty of grass. It takes me around 90 minutes to do the edges and mow it. Occasionally I get a bit coming up in the garden, but I sap it.
